How Many Edible Drink Toppers Do You Need for an Event?

A drink-topper order should start with the beverage plan, not simply the guest count. One guest may skip the feature drink while another returns for a second, so a quick service map helps you order and stage with less guesswork.

1. Count topped drinks by menu

List each beverage that will receive a topper: welcome mocktails, branded cocktails, after-dinner coffee or another featured serve. Estimate each category separately, then combine the totals. This makes it easier to adjust if only one part of the menu changes.

2. Divide the total into service rounds

Instead of treating every topper as one large batch, assign quantities to the first tray, later refills and a small reserve. Keep the reserve clearly separate until it is needed so the service team can see what remains.

3. Choose the diameter before the sheet count

Size changes the number of toppers on each sheet. The current options for custom edible drink toppers list these quantities:

Tap to see round toppers per sheet
  • 1.5 inch: 30
  • 2 inch: 19
  • 2.5 inch: 12
  • 3 inch: 8
  • 3.25 or 3.5 inch: 6
  • 4 inch: 4

Divide the planned drinks by the matching per-sheet quantity, then round up to a complete sheet. Add a modest event reserve based on your own service plan rather than assuming one universal percentage.

4. Proof the design at final size

A logo that looks clear on a laptop may become difficult to read when reduced. Print a paper proof at the selected diameter and check thin lettering, small dates and borders before submitting the edible artwork.

Material note: ultra-thin icing is the smooth, flexible option with a soft finish. It is different from clear toppers and wafer paper; the product guide recommends wafer when longer floating time is the priority.

Plan your diameter, artwork and service rounds together, then choose the matching drink-topper option for your event.
